Description: The United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) operates eleven (11) Observation Positions (OPs) in the area of separation between Syria and Israel, five (5) on the Syrian controlled area and six (6) on the Israeli controlled areas. Currently observation and monitoring of the area is undertaken with fixed and handheld optical binoculars. UNTSO plans to modernize and upgrade the current practices by employing EOS cameras (electrical optical system) and associated software with intelligence to scan and detect changes in the area of observation. UNTSO intends to establish a long-term contract covering provision of the equipment and services outfitting all eleven (11) observation positions, with immediate implementation of part of the project covering five (5) observation positions in the Syrian controlled area, which is subject to permission from the Syrian Authorities.
